What would make them think I am interested?

I view the Israeli government as fatally flawed, a system that breeds corruption and injustice to those not aligned with the coalition at the time.  I see this current government as the most precise example of this flawed and corrupt system. A government where a cabinet level minister needs no formal credentials to serve in that post - like a Minister of Interior who has no idea how to manage any one department that falls under that ministry’s jurisdiction and who enacts his own laws that cater to his population — or a Foreign Minister who has no diplomatic experience other than a midnight round of vodka shots with the children of papa Stalin — or a Defense Minister who puts his political career above and beyond his role in defending his country - or an Education Minister who has no clue that the entire educational system sucks - or a Prime Minister that appoints these people to these posts just so he can say he has enough votes to be Prime Minister.

Israel needs a constitution following one set of laws for everyone - we need fairness for all and not exceptions to the rules for certain religious sects - the people demand social justice was the chant this summer? they should start with fairness and equality in our system of government first and then they will see more social justice.  We need anti-trust laws, and we need them to be enforced.  We need people who have the balls to say what needs to be said to every group in this country - hard as is may come - and not dance around a certain sect or group and show reverence to Rabbis and leaders that advocate discrimination and non-participation in the building and strengthening of this country.

And lastly, we need to stop paying people to do nothing - and we need a government that has the strength and fortitude to get this done - MY TAXES ARE TOO HIGH as are the taxes of everyone I know and it is that way because 1/3rd of this country is supporting the other 2/3rds - and in return for that support we cant catch a bus or a train or an El Al flight on Saturday if we wanted to, we can’t walk through the neighborhoods that get most of their support from us without getting spit on or stoned, we cant send our daughters to a school that is too close to one of their neighborhoods, we don’t have recycling laws/deposits for large bottles of Soda (for those of you not up to speed on this, its true - they even control this).

We need a government that is answerable to the people - where the representatives in government are answerable to a local constituency.  I guarantee if we had nothing else but this - an individually elected representative government - half the shit that we see today would never fly.

Likud Anglo’s - you still want to be my friend?
